Wind and Silence: Ta Pinu Shrine

On Christmas day 2017 I visited the Ta' Pinu Maltese Shrine outside Bacchus Marsh, a rural town in the highlands of Victoria, Australia. It was a hot summer day, dry, and the roads were busy with traffic. We stopped there as tourists, and were drawn into its simple beauty as a meditative and pilgrimage site... and the wind made it extraordinary.
